Nojoqui Falls

The Nojoqui Falls route begins beside the parking loop in Nojoqui Falls Park, leaving the open picnic-and-day-use area for a shaded path that quickly slips into oak- and laurel-lined woodland above Nojoqui Creek.

Following the mapped trail eastward, the walk gradually narrows into a cool canyon setting, passing creekside vegetation, small crossings, and steeper enclosing slopes before reaching the base area of Nojoqui Falls, a seasonal waterfall tucked below the Santa Ynez Mountains near Gaviota Peak.

This short out-and-back hike is best presented as an accessible nature walk: park facilities and open lawns give way to a leafy creek corridor, then to the more intimate waterfall amphitheater that forms the route’s natural highlight.
